Well. There wasn't a lot of movement in today's episode, but it was hella enjoyable. I probably liked this episode more than any other episode this week.
I thought the Lucas/Justin scenes were going to be the usual boring conversation, so I was quite surprised when Lucas turned the tables and pretty much accused Justin of setting the Anjelica thing up (even though he didn't come out and say it). I'm so used to characters being dumbed down in stories so it was very refreshing to see Lucas use his brain! Of course he's wrong in this circumstance, but still... Characters thinking!
Even though it pains me to say it... I even enjoyed Andre today. I hate the whole DiMera Enterprises thing and the fact that Days still thinks that the current DiMeras are some sort of viable family unit, but I thought TP and DH played off of each other very well today. I've been a little on the fence about Hattie this time around, but Deidre's been nailing it the last few episodes. Hattie and Andre were super funny and awkward today. I wouldn't be opposed to these two interacting more!
Eli and Gabi felt the most like filler today, but I'd be lying if I said the ending with Gabi/Raines didn't make me a little nervous for her character. In fact, I was more afraid for her at the end of today's show than I have been the last 87 times her life was in danger this past year. This "story" may actually end on a high note...
Finally, Bonnie and Maggie were the highlight for me. I think Judi Evans has been totally spot-on with Bonnie this time around, and I wasn't even annoyed by Maggie today. I forgot how much the two of them in scenes together used to crack me up. Seriously kudos to Ron for taking a less well-known rivalry and milking it for a little bit of fun. I was cracking up as Maggie was catching on to "Adrienne's" mistakes (Maggie's top, The Spectator, Sonny's name) and seriously... Judi was terrific. Can we swap Adrienne for Bonnie permanently?!
I have agreed with most of some of the posts today but I agree with your post in its entirety. DH was great in the Hattie/Andre scenes especially when she got the upper hand by pointing out he needed certification from a psychiatrist who is beyond reproach.JE was also great in the Bonnie/Maggie scenes. Each played their alter egos as scripted by Anjelica but with a hard edge just below the surface which seemed to take Andre and Maggie by surprise. I liked the Gabi/Eli scenes because neither was delusional about their relationship.Gabi accepted that she was second to Abby where Chad was concerned.Eli acknowledged that he was wrong when he thought he could overcome her feelings for Chad but did not harbor ill will toward because she chose Chad.It was an honest conversation between the two. While I could accept Eli with Lani,I think Lamon's Eli has chemistry with Camilla's Gabi. I enjoyed Raines interactions with Rafe,Hope, and Gabi.Cracked me up when he spoke to Rafe and Hope as if they were his subordinates instead of his friends/partners.I also thought he appeared really menacing in that last scene with Gabi.I am actually looked forward to seeing this play out. I enjoyed the entire show today and am looked forward to more Bonnie/Maggie,Hattie/Andre along with Gabi/Raines. They are his subordinates and not his friends/partners...

Maureen "Bonnie" Lockheart insisting on calling Sonny by his proper name Jackson when her daughter was Miriam "Mimi" Lockheart. Maybe she has a double standard for boys, since her son's named Patrick and didn't have a nickname.

Lucas says it's in the Kiriakas playbook. Thinks he set him up with Anjelica
You're thinking of brady doing stuff like that Lucas lol
Exactly- Brady would do that, not Justin. No sympathy for Lucas lol - Quote:

With justin trying to kill Emilio in past is not far fetched to think justin cable to do that And justin should listen to Lucas what saying so he can realize that even Adrienne would have broken with lucas later she would break up much nicer and Lucas would not have feel it came out of nowhere And as soon justin realize that the sooner he will be close to realize bonnie pretend to be Adrienne

It seems to me that RC is more interested in Hattie than Marlena probably because he can play more with Hattie because she's a relatively open book with no real consistent history. Marlena has a long consistent history which he only knows from what he's managed to learn from Sheri and whatever history he's read or watched. That's more work. I hope he's still trying to learn as much as he can, because I don't care about Hattie. I care about Marlena.
Marlena is locked up at the sanatorium, there's really not much to play there until she and John get out. Meanwhile Hattie is pretending to be Marlena, there's alot to play with all the different characters who cross her path.

I never bought that insane story that Andre met Hattie and scammed her knowing she was a Marlena lookalike, and I'm not sure why anyone would care if Hattie gets her revenge for that. But, I guess some do, so here I am watching it. :yawnz: At least Deidre's fun to watch. Why didn't you buy it and why was it insane? I thought that was the best part of Hattie's return last winter.

They are his subordinates and not his friends/partners... That's my point.Hope and Rafe were never treated as subordinates by Roman, they were treated like friends/family and virtually allowed to do whatever they wanted to do including disregarding direct orders by him. This is why I am sorry to see Raines leave and don't want Roman back or Eli or John or anyone related to the Hortons,Bradys,or any other main family as the new commissioner.

This was a pretty enjoyable episode. Nothing amazing but I'm enjoying all things Lucas. I hope Bonnie continues to get under Maggie's skin. I enjoyed Hattie andre as much as I could. There's just something very offputting about andre and it's thaaos's delivery.
Lastly. Rope. I hate them together. Hope was fine but Rafe is just so awful.
Oh forgot Gabi. I know I've said this a lot. But I just don't care she has a broken heart or a broken nail or whatever.
